The 1977 Suburban is a continuation of the revamped 1973 version. This model now had simple, bold lines accented with a distinct body side molding and had four doors. The interior was redesigned and featured an angled dash. Also, a full time 4WD system was available and was ideal for those who drive in slippery conditions. Engine options ranged from a 100 hp 250 c.i. inline 6 cylinders to a 240 hp, 454 V8. The year 1977 saw a revised grill insert where 15 large rectangles replaced the former 32 smaller ones. Meanwhile, the 1977 model now featured a new 305 c.i. V8 rated at 145 horsepower.
