Chevy Suburban

When it comes to sport utility vehicles, the Chevy Suburban is considered the
oldest and one of the most recognizable. General Motors introduced the Suburban
way back in 1934. This virtually makes the Chevy Suburban the grandfather of the
sport utility vehicle. The Suburban was originally designed as commercial station
car meant to haul lots of passengers. Then, in the late eighties, the model was
transferred to Chevrolet and shifted to more domestic uses.
Although the Suburban has gone through various upgrades it has maintained its
affinity wit the original version - a large utility vehicle that can carry lots
of people and cargo in comfort and style. The advantages of the Suburban lies
in its brawn and the amount of people- and cargo-space it offers. With its size,
it is larger than 90% of other cars on the road.
But the Suburban, like most SUV's, suffers from terrible fuel economy and is
quite difficult to park given its enormous size. Nevertheless, the Suburban does
what it does best: a comfortable, stylish, very spacious and brawny sport utility
vehicle that its buyers have come.
